Hawaii Five-O Finale: Oia’i'o Oh No!
It looks like it might be the end of Five-o! Will Wo Fat beat Steve McGarrett? Will one of our favorites come to a sad, sad, end? I’m not sure I can watch!
Of course, I’ll watch. . . and you will, too.
Oia’i'o”
When Five-0 gets too close to the truth about Wo Fat and his associates, the criminal mastermind retaliates by trying to destroy the team. They’ve always played by their own rules, but when the Governor can no longer protect them, it’s time for Five-0 to pay the consequences of their actions, on the first season finale of HAWAII FIVE-0, Monday, May 16 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
*”Oia’i'o*” is Hawaiian for “Trust.”

The End is Near – ish and Hawaii Undercover
CBS has announced that Hawaii Five-0 will have its first season finale on May 16.
I’m worried. It’s going to be one heck of a cliffhanger, isn’t it? CBS hasn’t technically renewed the series for a second season, but it’s likely, right? They really found their legs and the show has solid numbers, right? (This is me, begging.)
On a side note, CBS has a new webseries tie-in of sorts. I’ll let them tell you about it.
CBS.com is taking viewers off the beaten path on the island of Oahu in its new original, 8-episode Web series, HAWAII: UNDISCOVERED, debuting today at www.CBS.com/HawaiiUndiscovered. Inspired by the CBS Television Network show, HAWAII FIVE-0, each five-minute webisode will take viewers around the island of Oahu, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at set locations and background on the island’s culture and history.
Hosted by Yahoo: Weekend Edition’s Jim Brasher and sponsored by Chevrolet Cruze, the webisodes will feature inside-scoop interviews with HAWAII FIVE-0 show advisors and island experts, including a Navy Seal advisor, the Hawaiian Language and Cultural advisor and the show’s location manager. During the first episode, Brasher searches for the greatest surf that Oahu has to offer. He meets up with HAWAII FIVE-0 star Grace Park’s surfing instructor, Hans “The Man” Hedemann, for some surfing tips before heading to the waves of the world-renowned North Shore, where he tries surfing for the first time.
More of Brasher’s adventures around the island will be documented throughout the series, including shark diving, ATV riding, parasailing and visits to HAWAII FIVE-0 set locations.
Viewers of HAWAII: UNDISCOVERED will also have the opportunity to win* a trip for two to Honolulu to visit the set of HAWAII FIVE-0. After entering the sweepstakes, fans can earn a virtual postcard by watching each webisode. The postcards will feature various Oahu landscape backgrounds and will allow fans to upload their photos into the frame. Postcards can be e-mailed to friends and family, and each postcard earned will grant an extra entry in to the sweepstakes.
“The island of Oahu has become the fifth character on HAWAII FIVE-0, and we’re excited to give fans a deeper look in to the culture and landscape that is a major part of the show,” said Joe Ferreira, SVP, Network Liaison and Original Content. ”With Chevrolet as our partner, we’ve produced an engaging original Web series that will give fans the behind-the-scenes stories that will inform and entertain and, for one lucky winner, will provide the ultimate prize of an actual set visit in Hawaii.”
New HAWAII: UNDISCOVERED webisodes will debut every Monday at 12:00 PM, PT, with the first two episodes available now on CBS.com. To watch the episodes, please visit www.CBS.com/HawaiiUndiscovered.

But if you really want a treat, check out the Facebook of Hawaii Student Suites, they have some wonderful photos of the cast and crew filming the series. I don’t have permission to reprint them, so please go to their site to check them out.
And finally, here’s a local news article with quotes from one of the original show’s cast members, Al Harrington.
